Our Riders
Ashraf Mohamed
Our wealth is a test and a trust from Allah (SWT) – we should use it in the best ways, like helping others as much as we can and knowing that Allah (SWT) will provide for you when you help other people.
I came from humble beginnings and I have been blessed with this opportunity to help those in desperate need.
Adam Ravat
I have seen the struggles in Gaza every day on social media and I am frustrated with what little we can do in the UK. If I can raise money via cycling and help the children of Gaza then that may go some way in supporting them.
Farhan Dabhad
I joined the Hijrah ride because of the blessed route which was blessed by the footsteps of our beloved prophet. This would be the ultimate bike ride and no better journey with a greater reward. The Hijrah ride also provided an opportunity for me to be part of the organising group of the which will have rewards and to complete a new challenge and organise a successful ride. Finally, it opened the door to work with Aid4Mankind and help to raise much needed funds for our brothers, sisters and orphans in Palestine

My cycling journey began at the age of 10. Alhamdullilah, I have had the pleasure of cycling some challenging routes here in the UK. I knew I couldn’t miss this opportunity of taking part in this charity Hijrah ride. The losses and suffering of the people in Gaza have touched our hearts immensely. I will be preparing myself physically, mentally and spiritually for this journey. Together with my brothers, we will be cycling 300 plus miles between the 2 holiest cities of Makkah to Madinah. Following the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW. Please remember us in your duas. Jazakallah - Yusuf Pandor (Lofty)

I took up cycling during covid 19 to maintain my health and fitness. Alhamdulillah’s through cycling I have had the opportunity to raise funds for various causes. The Hijra ride will be the ultimate charity bike ride for me. When I was younger, I was part a youth group and we organised a youth exchange to Palestine. Since my visit I have always aspired to participate in a fundraiser for Palestine. I applied for the Hijra ride to experience the blessed route undertaken by our beloved Prophet Mohammed PBUH. The charity bike ride will provide me with the opportunity to: perform umrah, cycle around 300 miles from Makkah to Madina and raise funds for Palestine. Please support the project and remember us in your duas, jzk.
Nowman Hasan
I feel honoured to be part of this noble cause to raise funds for the orphans of Palestine, perform Umrah, and cycle to the holy city of our beloved Prophet, peace be upon him. (SAW)

The struggles of the Palestinians people has made be worried. I have been making dua to Allah to give me the ability to help my Palestinian brothers and sisters in any shape or form. I feel that by me participating in the Hijra Ride and fund raising for Palestine, Allah has accepted my dua
Imtiaz Sayed
Your kindness and exceptional generosity help us to provide support to the orphans living in the ongoing genocide. I stand with Palestine and oppose the apartheid genocidal Zionist movement. We ride in solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
Farhaan Shaikh
My name is Farhaan Shaikh. I started cycling to keep up with my health and fitness during COVID’s first lockdown where I struggled to even do 10 miles. Now fast forward to 2024, I can’t believe what I have accomplished in cycling and now my biggest challenge being the 3-day Hijrah ride covering 300 miles on a bike from Makkah (after my umrah) to Medinah!! For me this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity combining both my hobby and faith. I will remember who I am fundraising for, our brothers, sisters and children in Palestine.

Embarking on the cycling journey from Makkah to Madina allows me to follow in the footsteps of Prophet Mohammed while enjoying my passion for cycling. It's a meaningful way to connect with his teachings, deepen my faith, and experience the spiritual essence of the holy land.
Ilyas Master
Alhamdulillah privilege to ride from Makkah to Madina for Palestinian... Least I can do for the oppressed.
Javed Fadal
This ride is an opportunity of a lifetime. Charity is extremely important, and as a group we aim to raise 100k for the children of Palestine. I will have the pleasure of completing my Umrah with my friends but the challenge of cycling between 2 holy cities is unmissable. I can’t wait 😁
Mohammed Shafik
I am a 46-year-old Muslim cyclist. I was given the opportunity to take part in this once in a life time opportunity ... To cycle between the two holy cities… so I couldn't say no and through this be in a position to help raise funds...much needed funds to help and support…our brothers and sisters in PALASTINE in Gazza .... Especially the orphan kids... May Allah accept this from me / us.
Karim Rakha
The last six months have been frustrating seeing the injustice inflicted on the people of Palestine. Thus, I wanted to do something to raise awareness and funds for the people in Gaza. The Hijrah ride is a great opportunity to do so. May Allah accept our small efforts.
Zabeer Ismail
I have undertaken this ride as a way to support the plight of orphans in Palestine who are enduring immense challenges due to conflict and displacement. Additionally, I hope that the Hijrah Ride will draw attention to the situation in Palestine and encourage others to take action and offer much needed support.
Ghafar Azam
This Ride for me well, we do something for ourselves everyday sometimes without thinking about it and don't really appreciate the little things in life. So I think the greatest thing for me is to do something for others and not want anything in return.
Tassawar Hussain
I want to help my brothers and sisters in Gaza because I believe in the fundamental right of ALL people to live in peace and dignity. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza demands urgent attention and assistance. By providing aid to Gaza, we can contribute to alleviating the suffering of people living in Gaza.
Saeed Umar
Why I'm I doing the Hijrah ride ..... I have been part of a cycling community in Lancashire for over 8 years... From our early charity rides for children, cancer charities, building the future by raising monies for Masjids across Lancashire and Cumbria ... Bringing together people, building friendships through cycling , Palestine has always been close to our hearts and the children and parents need our support more than any other... This is one humanity.. One ummah our children of Palestine ... We will ride for you and be with you.
Sayeed Hafejee
Fantastic opportunity to combine my passion for cycling with the ability to contribute to the relief effort in Palestine.
Zubair Urgradar
Raising funds for people in Gaza especially for children who have lost their families from parents, siblings, grandparents is invaluable and an opportunity from Allah to do something small for the people in need.
Sarfraz Mian
People across the world have risen up and declared that the atrocities undertaken by Israel to the people of Palestine need to stop. At this critical time, it is vital that focus and attention is drawn to the suffering of people in Gaza. The Hijra ride for me represents an opportunity to stand with the people of Gaza and importantly help to raise vital funds that provide urgent aid. The spiritual Hijrah journey can Insha’Allah deliver blessings to those who are suffering across Palestine. The voices and actions of the riders shall Insha’Allah ring out across the Holy land and join with the wonderful people and nations that are striving to end the injustices perpetrated by Israel.
Mamoon Solkar
r I am delighted and feel blessed to be able to this ride. It is doubly rewarding; I get to ride along the journey that was made by our Prophet pbuh and at the same time generate funds to help the orphans of Palestine.
Shazad Latif
I am doing this Hijrah ride for 3 main reasons. The 1st one is to highlight and do my bit as a Muslim for the ongoing suffering in Gaza and Palestine which is very sad and heartbreaking for us all, so we should all do our bit. Secondly, I have made the intention of performing Umrah, which I last performed over 20 years ago & hope this can be a positive changing point in my life & thirdly I have only got into cycling a couple of years ago and the chance to perform the Hijrah like the prophet Muhammed (PBUH) on the bike, is a once in a lifetime opportunity alongside a brilliant set of brothers, some whom I know personally and have ridden with previously. I appreciate it will be very tough, but it means I have to train hard & do other events in preparation Insha’Allah

I have been given this fantastic opportunity to cycle between the 2 holiest cities…Makkah to Madinah. The ride is to support our Palestinian brother & sisters in Gaza and not forgetting the orphans of Gaza. The funds raised will provide food, water and daily essentials during this difficult period. dua’s are requested Jazakallah.
Yasir Qureshi
Embarking on the Makkah to Madinah journey has been a dream of mine ever since conquering the LeJOG challenge back in 2021. The M2M ride isn't just about pedalling; it's a beautiful blend of physical exertion and spiritual fulfilment, elevating my passion for cycling to new heights. I'm excited to join this incredible gathering of 36 other riders, all with the shared goal of supporting the orphans of our Ummah, by Allah's will. Let's pedal together for a cause that truly matters!
Farooq Rafiq
Having come back to cycling a few years ago to raise money for charity, there can be no more worthy cause currently than the children of Gaza. Added to that was this opportunity to cycle in the most blessed of lands, from Makkah to Madinah, a journey undertaken by Prophet PBUH. I see it as a privilege to have this opportunity to take part in the Hijrah Ride and make dua that Allah SWT accepts all of our efforts.
Asim Khalid
I've literally no tears left to cry watching the news every day, I wanted to do something more to help. When I saw this opportunity to raise money for the orphans of/created by this catastrophic war, I knew this was my time to shine. I'm more or a mountain biker and this ride will push me way out of my comfort zone, but Insha’Allah the rewards of my efforts will be felt most by those left with a life way out of their own comforts.
Faisal Khan
Participating in the 2025 (1446AH) Hijrah Ride from Makkah to Madinah with Aid For Mankind UK is not just a physical challenge; it's a heartfelt mission to support the orphans of Palestine. As I pedal through 300 miles over three days, I'm driven by the urgency to alleviate the suffering of those who have lost everything.
Rizwan Manzoor
The heart breaking torture, pain and suffering of our brothers, Mothers and Children are facing in Gaza has left me shattered and helpless, but also given me the strength and determination to want to do anything in my power to make a meaningful difference. By doing this ride from Makkah to Madina, I seek to answer to myself that I have not ignored the suffering of my fellow human beings. It’s a commitment born out of compassion and a desire to bring relief to those in desperate need.
Ahmed Mamaniat
I’m cycling the Hijrah ride so I can take the same journey to Madina just like our beloved prophet (SAW) did. The raising of money for orphans is one of our core beliefs, to look out for any deprived people in the world.
Banares Saddique
Salaam to all, I will be participating in the upcoming Hijrah (2025) bike ride from Makkah to Madina. I aim to raise funds for orphans and displaced families in Gaza, who are in catastrophic need for vital humanitarian aid.
Shafaqat Hussain
This is a great cause which will give Orphans of Palestine some hope. We live in a society where people can feed and support themselves. When you support others who are not blood related and who don’t have the same opportunity as you…then in my eyes that is called true living where the true connection is through humanity.
Saleem Malik
Reaching out and helping an orphan child is what any decent, caring, compassion human being would do in a heartbeat.
Mohammed Malik
Apart from this charity ride being for a noble cause, I will be able to fulfil a childhood dream of doing Umrah alongside my father... In sha Allah
Dr Anis Loonat
The Hijrah ride involves a challenging 3-day ride from Mecca to Medinah whilst also raising funds for those in need in Palestine and other parts of the world. I am grateful to the team at Action for Mankind for giving me this opportunity. I’m training for the event but I also require your duas and your generous donation, may Allah make it a Sadaqah Jariyah for you.
Ahmed Akudi
I hope by participating in this ride I will be able to help bring some relief to even a single child in Palestine in need of some love, care and attention.

The "Hijrah ride" the title says it all the most significant and virtuous era in the Islamic history. Sahabah r.a. sacrificed they family’s wealth houses jobs societies clan, everything for the sake of Allah and His Deen. Allah O Akbar
Adil Yousaf
Participating on the Hijrah Ride was a no brainer for several reasons. Firstly, Alhamdulilah Allah swt has blessed me and it is a perfect opportunity to assist our brothers and sisters in dire need of basic necessities. The people of Gaza have touched every soul in some shape, way, form or in other ways. Secondly, embarking on the footsteps via my bike of course, retracing the steps of our Beloved Messenger SAW is a true honour. Those 2 days spent in the company of Sayyidina Abu Bakr RA defined the religion we live today marking the Islamic calendar start date. And furthermore, another opportunity to visit both Harams and perform Umrah to bring myself closer to my Lord, the Messenger SAW and my religion.

To basically provide support to the riders to enable them to complete this challenge and raise much needed funds for those who need aid around the world
